14-year-old girl lived with burn contractures tethering her right middle, ring, and little fingers in rigid flexion.
Before surgery
Rigid 3-finger flexion contracture. Burn scars that tighten across the fingers and palm make it hard to grip, write or work.
The surgery
The surgery was done at Amandeep Hospital in Amritsar, a BHF partner hospital. BHF funded it in full, at no cost to the family.
After surgery
Complete joint extension and healing.
