The survivor’s journey, before and after surgery.
18-month-old infant lived with burns that webbed his left middle finger in dense contracture, threatening bone deformity.
Before surgery
Middle finger flexion and syndactyly. Burn scars that tighten across the fingers and palm make it hard to grip, write or work.
The surgery
The surgery was done at Soni Hospital in Panipat, a BHF partner hospital. BHF funded it in full, at no cost to the family.

Full extension and healthy healing.
