2.5-year-old toddler faced burns locking all fingers and thumb in rigid syndactyly, completely disabling his early grasp.

All fingers and thumb locked in syndactyly. Burn scars that tighten across the fingers and palm make it hard to grip, write or work.
The surgery
The surgery was done at Soni Hospital in Panipat, a BHF partner hospital. BHF funded it in full, at no cost to the family.
