2.7-year-old boy had his left arm bent in a rigid 90-degree contracture, unable to straighten his elbow or play freely.
Before surgery
Rigid left elbow flexion tethering. Scar bands across the elbow or armpit stop the arm from straightening or lifting fully.
The surgery
The surgery was done at Soni Hospital in Panipat, a BHF partner hospital. BHF funded it in full, at no cost to the family.
After surgery
Full arm extension and normal reach.
