45-year-old man lived with bilateral eyelid ectropion leaving his corneas exposed to constant pain and blinding risk.
Before surgery
Bilateral ectropion. Scars that tighten across the face and neck pull at the skin and limit everyday movement.
The surgery
The surgery was done at RS Maitri Health Care in Ghaziabad, a BHF partner hospital. BHF funded it in full, at no cost to the family.
After surgery
Full eyelid closure and vision saved.
