6-year-old boy lived with facial burn contractures causing lip ectropion and microstomia, restricting speech and eating.
Before surgery
Lip ectropion and microstomia. Scars that tighten across the face and neck pull at the skin and limit everyday movement.
The surgery
The surgery was done at Amandeep Hospital in Amritsar, a BHF partner hospital. BHF funded it in full, at no cost to the family.
After surgery
Restored oral aperture and lip contour.
