9-year-old schoolboy lived with left wrist and hand contractures pulling his hand into ulnar deviation.
Before surgery
Wrist flexion and ulnar deviation. Burn scars that tighten across the fingers and palm make it hard to grip, write or work.
The surgery
The surgery was done at Shija Hospitals in Imphal, a BHF partner hospital. BHF funded it in full, at no cost to the family.
