12-year-old girl faced restriction as an axillary burn contracture pinned her arm to her torso, stopping overhead reach.
Before surgery
Left axillary web tethering. Scar bands across the elbow or armpit stop the arm from straightening or lifting fully.
The surgery
The surgery was done at Soni Hospital in Panipat, a BHF partner hospital. BHF funded it in full, at no cost to the family.
After surgery
Full overhead arm abduction.
