2-year-old girl was brought to Amandeep Hospital struggling with 4-digit post-burn contractures across her right hand, unable to open her palm.
Before surgery
Multi-digit flexion contracture. Burn scars that tighten across the fingers and palm make it hard to grip, write or work.
The surgery
The surgery was done at Amandeep Hospital in Amritsar, a BHF partner hospital. BHF funded it in full, at no cost to the family.
After surgery
Full palm and digital extension restored.
