8-year-old girl lived with extensive burns across her left elbow, wrist, and hand, locking her entire upper limb in rigid scars.
Before surgery
Extensive elbow, wrist and hand rigidity. Burn scars that tighten across the fingers and palm make it hard to grip, write or work.
The surgery
The surgery was done at Soni Hospital in Panipat, a BHF partner hospital. BHF funded it in full, at no cost to the family.
After surgery
Complete joint mobilization and graft.
